What’s On This Winter?

If you’re looking for glad tidings, look no further than Battersea and Fulham! There are plenty of local opportunities to sip mulled wine, belt out some classic carols and fill stockings with unique gifts. Here are Aspire’s top winter picks:

Winterland, until 22^nd December, Thursday to Sunday, Wandsworth Bridge Road

Described as an ‘enchanted riverside woodland’, Winterland is Fulham’s own pop-up festive event with gourmet catering by Jimmy Garcia, igloo pods, curling, table tennis and a BYOB policy on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Catch the big man in red throughout December, with appearances every weekend and daily from 15^th to 24^th December. Grotto visits will include a small gift, a drink and a Christmas treat.

 Battersea Dogs & Cats Home Carol Concert – Monday 4^th December, St Luke’s Church, Chelsea

Find your voice and sing your heart out in the beautiful surroundings of St Luke’s Church – all in aid of a brilliant local charity. There will be mulled wine and mince pies to help proceedings along.

North End Road Christmas Market, Saturday 9^th December, North End Road

Shop locally and safely at this traffic-free event, with more than 150 stalls packed with presents, decorations and edible produce. Music will be provided by carol singers, the Fulham Brass band, a Rock Choir and a cappella quartet.

Jack & the Beanstalk Christmas Pantomime, Sunday 10^th December, Fulham Palace

Get your Christmas off to a comedic start with Fulham Palace’s annual panto. Expect audience participation, classic lines such as ‘oh no he isn’t’ and plenty of songs to sing along to.

 Christmas Carol Concert, Wednesday 13th December, Fulham Palace

This is a great event if you prefer to soak up the atmosphere rather than join in, as the Fulham Camerata Choir will lead the signing. Take your seat in the Victorian Chapel and stay after for refreshments by the fire.
